Gemini is an original acrylic painting by Krissy Whiski, on 36 x 48 inch canvas.
The concept for Gemini came while I was watching American Horror Story Freakshow. I really like American Horror story. Well if you watch the show, you can recall the siamese twins, Dot and Bette played by Sarah Paulson. I liked the contrast of their personalities, and realized, this was very much like a split personality. I decided I would paint some oddities, but I let this painting take on a life of it's own. The image my sub conscience picked when creating these siamese twins, was actually from a Sage the Gemini music video, "Gas Pedal". The eerie image of the woman standing alone in the hall. Well I decided to do something akin to that, but make her have two heads. It's almost an ode to bi-polar disorder, the manic and depressive states I was going through at the time, made creating this piece cathartic for me. I hope you enjoy it.
