Death's Head Rose
Death's Head Rose, is part of my Death Head moth series. I began a watercolor and India ink painting of a girl. I decided to name her Rose and give her the Rose like color because I imagined her as "Painting the Roses red", only in this painting, Rose is a person, and not an actual flower. That idea came from Alice in Wonderland, when the flowers ask Alice if she is a wildflower. I included the death head moth, because I really love them. To me, there are as beautiful and interesting as a butterfly. I thought it would add a nice touch to this painting. Just like it did with "Death's Head Ruth". It's sister painting. I hope to make more of this series in different colors in the future. So be sure to check back.
