Death's Head Ruth
Death's Head Ruth is part of my Death's Head Moth series. This painting was done during a hard time for me. I was angry that someone I trusted as a friend, stole something from me. I was angry and upset and listening to Tool while creating this piece. I actually didn't sleep that night. The idea for the honey combs came from how Death Head Moth's will disturb or steal from honey bees. I felt like I had worked so hard, for what I have, and to have someone come and steal that from me, was heartbreaking. I painted this and resolved not to trust that person again.
