"Attic Dweller" is a mini 8x10" original acrylic painting by artist Krissy Whiski.
I set out one late night to create a creepy cute monster. I thought back to my childhood and how scared I would become of a dark basement or attic. I always had the creeping suspicious that something or someone was lurking in the shadows. Turning on the light instantly erased most of that fear, but my apprehension of turning on the light sometimes was, what if I turn on the light and actually find this monster or boogeyman, that I thought was hiding between the stacks of boxes, old chests and vinyl records in our attic. With Halloween approaching I figured it was time to bring that monster out of the dark. I had the most fun creating the little Edison Bulb beside him and getting his eyes to look like circular blue orbs of blindness. You see, he can only see in the dark, so that is why he hides in the shadows, he's not a bad monster, a he's probably just as scared of you as you are of him.
